Apple Cake...mmmm!

I made this apple and almond cake today, for my family to have for morning tea. It was supposed to be covered in sliced almonds  but as you can see, I have run out and there were only a few left at the bottom of the container! It still tasted delicious though! Have you been doing any baking at home?

 "Great at laying eggs, likes to chat and peck around the lawn. She has had several incidents with the next door neighbours cat chasing her and she can make very loud noises when she is being chased, but can run fast when she needs to.

Chickens and Sheep

Zora and her brother were busy yesterday, feeding their sheep and chickens, and collecting the eggs.

Zora has been busy!

Zora and her brother have been collecting all the different types of leave that they can find in the garden. I wonder how many types that you can find?

 Look at this huge pile of basil leaves that they have picked to make yummy pesto!

 And they baked this beautiful looking bread. YUM!!!

Friday: Teachers' Pets!

Here is my cat Lucy. Lucy is such a lovely friendly cat, who loves strokes and cuddles. She is 12 years old. She is extremely hard to take photos of, because every time she sees us, all she wants to do is come up and say hello!

 This is Mrs Johnstone's dog Cam. He is a Cocker Spaniel and he is 15 years old.
Isn't he absolutely gorgeous? 

Mrs Johnstone is going to be teaching in Room 15, one day a week, next term.

Thursday: Collecting Conkers

Hi Room 15 and 16,

I hope that you are all keeping busy at home and being kind and helpful to Mum and Dad (and any brothers and sisters of course!) Maybe you have been playing in the garden in the sunshine, or have been for a short walk with your family to get some fresh air.

At my house, our neighbours have a Horse Chestnut Tree and lots of the Horse Chestnuts (or as we call them "Conkers") have fallen into the drive and the road. We couldn't help collecting them up - although I don't know what we're going to do with them! When I was your age, we used to collect as many as we could and play a game with them called "Conkers"! I just love their smooth, brown, shiny skin, and the prickly green case they come in :-)

If you wanted to take a photo and write about something, you could create a document in your Literacy folder and do it there. If you get Mum or Dad to email it to your gmail address, you can save it straight onto your Drive, or onto your desktop - and then drag it onto your document.
