Don't forget your teddy bear for the teddy bear picnic tomorrow! Just bring your usual lunch.
And don't forget $2 if you would like to buy a cupcake from Room 16, to help them fundraise for their Kaikoura Camp.

More Winnie the Witch!

Winnie the witch

Winnie is a friendly witch that likes to cast spells. She and her best friend Wilber the cat always like to go on exciting adventures and always come home safe and sound. Although winnie looks a bit scary she is very kind  and always has great ideas (Only if she is not being crazy!) Winnie is a very happy lady. I like winnie because she is funny and I think she is a smartypants.

Winnie the witch has purple coat with a blue shirt. She has a pointed nose like pinocchio and at the tip of it, it is red like embarrassed cheeks. Winnie has black lips and also she has crazy hair. Winnie has big bulgy eyes.
Winnie the witch always does spells and they always go wrong but she always fixes it. Winnie has a garden that
is filled with vegetables. (She loves vegetables.) She also has a magic wand.
Winnie always says, “Abracadabra!” or,  “I've got an idea!” or, “A little magic won’t hurt.”
She is a crazy witch who always gets up to mischief.

Winnie the witch

Winnie the witch is a delightful witch that always starts problems with her magic. She’s a crazy women with a lot of feelings. Winnie has crooked teeth and also has a long pointed nose like pinocchio. She has bulging eyes popping out of her head like enormous balloons. Her dress has white frills with pumpkin splattered all over! She has long wiry hair pointing out like the end of a straw broomstick. Whenever there’s a problem she always uses her magic. Sometimes her green eyed cat Wilber is a bit clumsy too! Although she is a very nice witch she doesn't have much self management because the state of her room is a disaster! There’s socks all over the floor, the bed isn't made and the curtains aren't pulled. Whenever theres a problem Winnie says the magic word…”ABRACADABRA!” Usually she says, “Blithering bits!” because shes mad about her magic. She’s CRAZY with all her pumpkin and bits. I think Winnie is a generous women.

Winnie the Witch character descriptions.

We chose Winnie the Witch as the focus for our character descriptions because she is such an interesting character with a truly unique personality, and the books are so fun to read!
 Winnie the Witch

Winnie the witch is a kind, intelligent and coo coo crazy witch.  she looks like a young granny. Winnie wears black lipstick, a blue t-shirt and a purple cape. She has white bracelets on her wrists. Winnie has a magical wand that she carries around the place and a red pointy nose. Winnie the witch waves her wand in the air like she doesn’t care. She also rides her pumpkin helicopter.
She says, “Abracadabra!”,  “Sorry wilbur,” and  “I know what to do I should get my spell book.” She is like a normal witch but… she does not have potions. I think she is ridiculously crazy.

Winnie the witch is a crazy and excited witch. She flies her broom everyday. Although she flies her broom, she always can make time for more fun and adventures. Winnie the witch has fizzy dark hair and broken sharp teeth. Even though she looks scary, she is wonderful on the inside. Everyday Winnie throws on ripped and torn clothes. Winnie often stands on Wilber the cat and Wilber screams and meows. Everyday she likes to learn new stuff. Something Winnie always says is, “Blithering bits!” when something wrong happens. Winnie is a delightful witch with amazing ideas. I like Winnie the witch because she is always funny and she gets into a bit of mischief.

Winnie the witch is a cool friendly witch.
She normally wears a purple coat with a blue dress, even though it can be very hot!!! Winnie the witch has a pale face, although she has a very red nose! Her black hair is as dark as a thundery sky but unfortunately it is turning grey!!!
Even though she is kind and thoughtful she is always getting into trouble with her spells. Although she loves all vegetables, pumpkin is definitely her favourite!!! Winnie the witch’s favourite word probably would be “ABRAKADABRA!!!”  and she is always shouting “WILBER!!!” (Winnie the witch’s cat) Winnie the witch is a little bit coo coo crazy.
Winnie the witch is my favourite witch!!!

Statistics

Today we completed our staistics unit, with an assessment. Our class library cards were laid out on the floor and the children had to complete a tally chart of the colours, graph the results, deciding on the scale to use, label the axis, give it a title, and then make statements about the graph. The challenge was working independently, with no help!

Fabulous Year 4 !

Once a week we like to get together with our Year 4 friends in Room 15 to get some excercise! While it's hot this term, we'll go for a quick walk in Harling Park, and as it cools off next term, we'll start practising for the Cross Country! We'll do other things together from time to time, like art projects, or technology challenges, and of course we have our trip to Whites Bay to look forward too!

Maths Groups

We started working in maths groups this week. We'll be concentrating on Number (addition and subtraction) strategies for the next 4 weeks. Here are Jane and Harrison from the Circles group. This week they were working on always adding the smaller number to a bigger number, even when the smaller number is given first. We also looked at quick recall of Basic Facts.
