We are nearly at the end of our Fossils topic, that we have been doing with Room 13. This week we had a visit from a fossils expert who brought some really cool fossils in with him, like a mammoth tooth, a fossilised tree trunk and some dinosaur poo! Then we played a fossils Kahoot!
We started our fractions with some revision about fractions being equal parts of a whole. We remembered that a fraction of something can be less or more than one.
We have almost finished our maths topic on 2D shape. We have named, described and sorted 2D shapes, as can be seen by these Venn Diagrams. This week we also made shapes by folding and cutting, and then talked about lines of symmetry.
Room 16 have obviously had a lot of experience with using paint in Year 3, as they were able to mix beautiful greens, oranges and purples using just the primary colours. I just love the fantastic words they have used to describe themselves and their personalities!
